Collection: Snake Plants

Snake plant or Mother-in-Law's Tongue are common names for about 70 species in the Asparagaceae Family.  Previously it was botanically classified as Sansevieria but was reclassified as Dracaena trifasciata, though most people still refer to it as Sansevieria incorrectly.

Native to Africa but widely naturalized.  These exceptionally forgiving and resilient plants can suffer through abuse and neglect like few plants and all the while providing some of the more efficient air purification skills in exchange for ample oxygen production.  While Dracaena are extraordinarily hardy and drought tolerant, they do not like prolonged periods of moisture contact. Therefore water the soil directly and avoid watering the plant itself.
