Botanical Name: Euphorbia tithymaloides variegata

Native Region/Environment: Widely naturalized, but believed to originate from the West Indies.

Sun/Light: Full sun to part shade.

Temperature: USDA zone 9b-12, or a colorful, full sun houseplant. Best to remain above 50 degrees.  Will not survive a freeze.

Water: Very drought tolerant and forgiving of neglect, with the exception that it does not like overwatering or sitting water.  Best to let the soil dry between waterings.

Soil: Fast draining, porous soils.

Growth Pattern: The small leaves are highly variegated in whites, creams, pinks and greens.  The flowers are small, brilliantly red and resemble an origami bird.  The stems grow tightly packed at the base and fan out in a zig-zag pattern.

Mature Size: 3'-4' wide and tall.

Attributes: A very colorful addition to a dry garden or indoor addition.  The flowers resemble red origami birds and can adorn the plant profusely, but the mottled colors of the leaves are the year round show. A excellent specimen plant for indoors or outdoors.

Pot: 3.5" or 4"
