Botanical Name: Hoya brevialataNative Region/Environment: Philippines Sun/Light: Bright indirect light or mild direct morning light. Temperature: Ideal temperatures are between 50 and 90F. Water: Allow top of soil to dry to touch. Do not overwater or leave in standing water. Soil: Porous, well draining fertile soil. Growth Pattern: Trailing evergreen perennial vine with small, round, thick succulent leaves. Mature Size: Able to grow several feet, over years, on a trellis or cascading from an elevated pot or hanging basket. Occasional pruning will result in a fuller plant. Attributes: Flowers are in whites, pinks and reds and are displayed more separated and pendant in their clusters than the tight spheres common associated with hoyas. Small root systems relative to potential plant size. Low maintenance. Very long lasting blooms. Do not remove peduncles (flower stalks) after blooming-hoya rebloom from the same peduncles which will increase in length after each successive bloom.
