Botanical Name: Hoya carnosaNative Region/Environment: SE Asia Sun/Light: Bright indirect light or mild direct morning light. Temperature: Ideal temperatures are between 60 and 80F. Water: Allow top of soil to dry to touch. Do not over water or leave in standing water. Soil: Porous, well draining fertile soil. Growth Pattern: Vining and mildly twining evergreen perennial vine. Mature Size: Hoya carnosa grows to between 2-4' whether cascading from a basket or pot or trained up a trellis or moss pole. Occasional pruning will result n a fuller plant. Attributes: Small root systems relative to potential plant size. Low maintenance. Very long lasting blooms. Not recommended to remove peduncles (flower stalks) after blooms-hoya rebloom from the same peduncles. Attractor: Fragrant flowers are laden with abundant sweet nectar that attract hummingbirds, bees, moths and butterflies. Pot: 4" |
