Botanical Name: Hoya curtisiiNative Region/Environment: SE Asian rainforests Sun/Light: Bright indirect light or mild direct morning light. THis hoya adapts to higher levels of light than most, but will likely benefit from periodic misting as the trade off. Temperature: Ideal temperatures are between 60 and 80F. Water: Allow top of soil to dry to touch. Do not overwater or leave in standing water. Soil: Porous, well draining fertile soil. Growth Pattern: Vining, gentle twining evergreen perennial. Mature Size: Able to grow several feet high on a trellis and will grow longer vines when cascading from a pot or hanging basket. Occasional pruning will result in a fuller plant. Attributes: Easily recognizable with their unique small, pointed leaves of a drab green with silver variegation. The flowers are small and equally unique. Hoya curtisii is described as not recommended for novice growers, but tremendously rewarding if given proper care.
