Botanical Name: Hoya memoria variegata (reclassified)Previously known as Hoya gracillisNative Region/Environment: Indonesia Sun/Light: Bright indirect light or mild direct morning light. Temperature: Ideal temperatures are between 60 and 80F. Water: Allow top of soil to barely feel dry to the touch. Does not tolerate an irregular watering schedule well or long dry periods. Soil: Porous, well draining fertile soil. Growth Pattern: Trailing evergreen perennial vines that can be draped over and around a trellis or cascade from a basket. Mature Size: Hardy grower able to grow vines several feet long. Occasional pruning will result in a fuller plant. Attributes: A prolific bloomer when happy of petite crimson flowers ringed with pink to white waxy petals. Small root systems relative to potential plant size. Low maintenance. Very long lasting blooms. Do not remove peduncles (flower stalks) after blooming-hoya rebloom from the same peduncles which will increase in length after each successive bloom. Attractor: Flowers are laden with abundant sweet nectar that attract hummingbirds, bees, butterflies and moths. Pot: 4" |
