Botanical Name: Hoya rubidaNative Region/Environment: SE Asia and Australia Sun/Light: Bright indirect light or mild direct morning light. Temperature: Ideal temperatures are between 65 and 85F. Water: Allow top of soil to dry to the touch. Avoid root rot by preventing standing water. Soil: Porous, well draining fertile soil. Growth Pattern: Trailing and twining evergreen perennial vine. Mature Size: Able to grow several feet on a trellis and will grow longer vines when cascading from a pot or hanging basket. Occasional pruning will result in a fuller plant. Attributes: A beautiful hoya with cotton candy colored petals and a red cherry colored center atop succulent contrasting jade green leaves. Small root systems relative to potential plant size. Low maintenance. Very long lasting blooms. Do not remove peduncles (flower stalks) after blooming-hoya rebloom from the same peduncles which will increase in length after each successive bloom.
