Adonidia merillii is the #1 most planted ornamental palm tree for landscapes worldwide. It is affectionately referred to as a "mini royal palm". Also known as a Christmas palm since it typically has bright red fruit clusters during the month of December.
Producing a stiff, smooth trunk and with fronds only 5'-6' in length, a Manila palm is a nice compact size for most yards.
Makes an excellent indoor plant provided sufficient light is provided. They thrive in moist conditions but are not tolerant of soggy soils.
