Botanical Name: Syngonium erythrophyllum "Llano-Carti Road"

Native Region/Environment: Llano-Carti Road, Panama

Sun/Light: Shade to part shade.  Avoid direct, bright light.

Temperature: Able to withstand temperatures down to 50 degrees briefly, best at house plant temperature of 60-85 degrees.  Outdoors USDA 10-12. 

Water: Moist but not wet with the top 1" drying between watering 

Soil: Loose, fast draining and fertile

Growth Pattern: Trailing evergreen perennial vine with a low growing crown and compact habit.

Mature Size: A low profile plant reaching only 6" high but does trail a couple feet, and can be trained as a climber. 

Attributes: Dark, dark foliage with an alluring and unexpected red underneath creating quite a contrast. The color variations are most obviuos when trained as a climber.  Both the gun metal green and red reverse side are glossy.

Pot: 3.5" or 4"

Syngonium erythrophyllum, also known Red Arrow Vine or Llano Carti Road, is a rare and exciting native of Central America. 

All Syngonium specie are natural air purifiers removing formaldehyde, benzene and other VOC's commonly found in indoor air.

This plant may have a degree of toxicity that may cause illness or discomfort if ingested.  It is grown and sold for Ornamental purposes and not intended as a food nor fodder.  Additionally, contact with the sap of this plant may cause irritation or discomfort.
